Thank you RCN for collecting and donating over 250 sporting goods to the Children’s Home! Our local friends from RCN brought us boxes of balls, hula hoops, sporting equipment and more for our kids. These will be a great addition to our Wellness Works Club, which gets our kids moving with classes and activities to promote healthy minds and bodies. Thank you so much for your generosity! The kids will enjoy breaking in all of the new equipment, especially on gorgeous days like today!
On April 5, 2017 we were visited by a wonderful group of residents from Country Meadows Senior Care of Forks, who brought baskets of gifts for each of our cottages, along with homemade cupcakes! A few of our kids were able to stop by to meet these generous donors…and sample the delicious treats they brought with them! Thank you so much to the Country Meadows residents who were kind enough to put this all together! We appreciate your support!
Thank you BB&T for your recent EITC contribution! This generous donation will allow us to provide educational opportunities for our Older Youth. We’re so grateful for BB&T’s ongoing support. Thank you Lisa and Shannon for delivering this contribution, and for your enthusiasm in planning a “Lighthouse Project” at the Children’s Home for this Spring!
The dedicated Youth Group at St. Brigid’s Episcopal Church in Nazareth recently created 20 duffel bags filled with treats to help children who arrive in foster or residential care feel more at home. These bags were decorated by members of the Youth Group and filled with teddy bears, coloring supplies and more that we know our kids will love! Thank you so much to St. Brigid’s Youth Group, and also to Together We Rise, the generous nonprofit agency that made this connection and works tirelessly to change the way children experience foster care in the United States.
Thank you Merchants Bank for your generous EITC donation to benefit our Older Youth! EITC contributions allow local businesses to give back directly to their community organizations. At the Children’s Home, these funds are used to provide educational opportunities for our Older Youth as they transition into adulthood. Thank you to Rocco and Sue at Merchants Bank for presenting us with this wonderful donation!
